![]() ![]() Even with only 3 people working on a game, i spend more of my time fiddling with configuration of assest in than actually coding. The biggest show stopper for me currently with the unity engine is the lack of free tools to share assets between artists and programmers. From my point of view as a programmer it really lacks access to some core functionalities, it’s more of a scripting engine than anything else. That being said it’s a very easy and for most designer/illustrator people a very intuitive framework. The free (indie) version does only allow you to write shaders, no access to buffers or off-screen render targets. It’s more a framework for rapid game development, than a framework for doing impressive 3d stuff. Unit圓d in my humble opinion doesn’t suit the intended audience of this website.
